Our Values

Listen, Understand, Solve, Grow.

At ECOVIS Clark Jacobs we are committed to our clients and view each engagement as a unique opportunity to develop and enhance our clients' interests. We’re mindful that our professional reputation rests upon the quality of our work and our selection and training of personnel underpins this concept. We consistently try to “add value” to our clients’ affairs, whether they are commercial businesses, professional practices, or individuals seeking financial advice. We do this by applying our values to each and every engagement;

Listen

There is an old quote which states “no-one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care” Only by listening to our clients can we gain an understanding of their aspirations and goals.

Understand

Once we have listened to our clients, our approach is about walking in our clients' footsteps, understanding their unique perspective and circumstances of their personal and business finances, and being able to understand their goals and aspirations. Only by doing this can we devise solutions which accord with where our clients want to go, and can we show them more innovative ways to meet their challenges.

Solve

Only after listening and understanding can an adviser develop and propose solutions which address current priorities and future goals. At ECOVIS Clark Jacobs our focus is on our clients' success, and the delivery of tailored and commercial solutions which solve those problems which keep our clients awake at night. Only by doing this, by formulating pragmatic, comprehensible solutions, can our clients have the comfort to get on and do what they do best,

Grow!

History

Clark Jacobs Pty Limited (Ecovis Clark Jacobs) can trace its roots back to the merger of Clark Cohen Pty Ltd and Jacobs & Co Pty Ltd in 2004. The two practices were established in 1990 and 1995 respectively, and the merger brought together the unique experience of each firm’s staff and directors to provide a more holistic approach to their clients.

  • 2016
  • Jakin Loke, Elissa Lippiatt and Scott Hogan-Smith become directors of the firm, bringing their respective areas of expertise to the executive team.
  • 2015
  • Garry Pammer retires from the firm.
  • 2013
  • Clark Jacobs becomes the first Australasian member of the Ecovis International Alliance Network. Joining this network doesn’t involve any change on the underlying ownership of the firm, but is in response to our clients’ increasing need for multi-jurisdictional advice as their businesses expand outside of Australia. As part of this change, the firm is rebranded as Ecovis Clark Jacobs.
  • 2012
  • Founding partner Andrew Clark retires from the firm.
  • 2010
  • Heath Stewart, who had been a manager and then associate of the firm, becomes a director. With Heath’s background in mid-tier firms, and a focus on the medical and dental industries, he guides an expansion of the firm’s reach into these areas.
  • 2006
  • David Conley and Garry Pammer become directors of the firm, alongside Andrew Clark and Peter Jacobs. David’s appointment brings unique expertise in Research & Development, along with Big Four experience. This continues the firm’s growth, with the four directors set on enhancing the proactive, client-focused culture which the firm’s founders had built.
